Here is our playtest session of Worlds of Adventure! The first video is the character and world generation, and the second is the actual play session.

I’m looking at it now and taking notes on it. Anything you feel like we could have done to make starting it easier? A character creation guide will be available in the rulebook later on.
Nicolas Derom I think the number one thing lacking from the text in terms of starting out is probably some kind of procedure for thinking about the first adventure. The DW text says:
“Start the session with a group of player characters (maybe all of them) in a tense situation. Use anything that demands action: outside the entrance to a dungeon, ambushed in a fetid swamp, peeking through the crack in a door at the orc guards, or being sentenced before King Levus. Ask questions right away—“who is leading the ambush against you?” or “what did you do to make King Levus so mad?” If the situation stems directly from the characters and your questions, all the better.”
I felt like I maybe bungled this a bit because there was nothing in the WoA text reminding me of it and I started at a point of somewhat low tension. Maybe this is a thing the game could improve on?
EDIT: I’m thinking specifically here of something like the Engagement Roll procedure in Blades.
