Hey guys, steelsmiter/Josh C here. Been thinking about incorporating some materials into my game like Mythril, (with that spelling specifically because it’s how it was spelled in my favorite game evar) Orichalcum, Dwarven Stone, etc. I’ve got a pretty good idea what I want the tags to do (Mythril reduces wt and clumsy costs more, Orichalcum ignores “piercing”, but not “ignores armor”, and Dwarven Stone is too dense to wear comfortably, but provides Fortification bonuses for The Whole Damn Army). Anyone got any ideas where I might find inspiration for other materials?

dandwiki.com – SRD:Special Materials – D&D Wiki has a couple others you can easily incorporate in.
And several more: d20pfsrd.com – Special Materials – d20PFSRD

Yochai Gal Thanks for providing a link to a DW item. Does it cover materials?
There’s a lot there to get inspiration from.

In the classic Indiana Jones-games by Lucasarts, orichalcum was an atlantean powersource. That’s my main association with it, as a mystical metal, soft but powerful. http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Orichalcum
I’m going more with a combination of Greek/GURPS “Essential Bronze” but also sort of explain why “golden armor” is so badass even though it comes from a shitty material. Also this: futurism.com – Titanium-Gold Alloy: Physicists Combine Gold with Titanium And Quadruple Its Strength
