This is my DW Travel Kit / GM Resource book.

I was working on this list for myself when Nuno Ventura mentioned on another post of mine that he would like to put together a travel kit as well and asked what all I had in mine. I’m sure this has a lot of overlap with the Syllabus list that I saw (I can’t find it now) but I built this specifically with travel in mind because I travel a lot for work.

EDIT: I thought I could post a link and a photo at the same time, but apparently not. So I added a photo in the comments.

  1. It’s in Jeremy Strandberg. The document has been edited to show a change in order for one of the pages. I had the GM page right before the monsters because it had the monster questionnaire on it. Now your sheet takes that space and the GM page moves closer to the front of the book.

  2. I forgot to mention that in the section of playbooks I have a couple of the third party playbooks that I really like: The Master Minstrel from SemiDarkArts (Damian Jankowski), and the Wizard from A Sundered World (David Guyll and Melissa Fisher). I’ll update the doc to show that as well.

  3. I like that Yochai Gal! I don’t know if I’ll include it in my kit just because I’ve been doing it a while now and have gotten accustomed to asking questions. I included The Inexhaustive List of Dungeon World Questions because it has a LOT of content all on one page (because my kit is a binder that I keep in my carry-on while flying, I need to keep it fairly small).

I love how you explain how to treat each class, my favorite being with regards to Fighters: “Give them Bars to Bend and Gates to Lift”. I GM’d a game once where I put an OBVIOUS Bend Bars obstacle in my Fighters way, and he didn’t think to use that move! I was frustrated to say the least lol

  4. Yochai Gal is it you who is putting together the Syllabus? I saw it once (and thought I saw your name on it) but now I can’t find it. I wanted to go through that and see if there was anything I should include in my kit.

  5. Can you share the CC licensed bits (like rules about hirelings) or are they all mixed in? I”d like to reproduce this, but it seems like a ton of work (I have 99% of what is listed here, free and paid).
