Welcome! Have you read the Unofficial Guide? It’s really helpful.

I have not! Thank you Matt
The Discern Realities podcast is a pretty great primer. I think listening to actual play helps too. Might want to scrounge up The 16 Hit point Dragon too, it’s a pretty rock solid resource.
Dungeon World plays like you played D&D when you were a kid, back before you’d actually read all the rules and had fun with it, but without fudging anything. Play it in that spirit.
I second Discern Realities, and I’ll raise you a great article by John Aegard. It is ostensibly about running DW as a one-shot, but it’s great advice for starting a game even if you plan on going for 30 sessions. https://docs.google.com/document/d/17ypjtlHfcwqrU_-x4b7o0e8tZ_dN2TiNLUu48MLAw7Y/edit
Read the DW book, cover to cover. Then, read it again, but skip around a bunch! Or the other way around.
Check out the Dungeon World subreddit, and the dungeonworld channel on rpg-talk.com. Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Wow thanks everyone got some reading to do
They’re just good resources (like the Tavern) if you get stuck. Don’t feel overwhelmed, it’s such a simple system at its core that you could explain it in an infographic or two, really.

Like Matt Horam and Oli Jeffery said. Its very simple, realy it is. 2d6+ appropriate Mod when you attempt something risky and wouldn’t “just happen anyways”. Then, if the result is 9 or less, you the GM get to do something. We call those “things” Moves. Thats all thats to it. Pretty simple
Oh, and the scariest chapter in the book is Fronts. Let me just ease your worries before they happen and say, Fronts are just “Time Counters”. Just a way to count down bad events. You can use what ever methods you like
Don’t even bother reading the fronts chapter until after your first session.
Play with people you like just hanging out with, especially if they’re clever and creative and quick witted.
Show up with some ideas, maybe a specific place to be, but not the why or the when or the who. Ask them: why are you here, what are you after, who else wants it, what happens if you don’t get it first?
It’s totally cool if someone wants to use a move, just ask them what that looks like. “Can I hack and slash?” “Yeah, sure but what does that look like?” “I Defend!” “Cool! How do you do that?”
You should almost never ask them to make a move. Say what happens, or is about to happen, and ask what they do. If they do something that you think triggers a move, be like “sounds like you’re defying danger with Dex, yeah?” and have them roll it if they agree.
Remember that it’s a conversation and not a board game. Don’t be a stickler for taking turns, but take turns. Like, don’t be rude and don’t let other people be rude. “Hold on their, Fighter, lets see what Cleric is up to…”
When they look at you expectantly, it’s your turn to make a move. Make one! Even if it’s just “give them an opportunity” or “tell the requirements/consequences and ask”.
Have fun!
Oh, and maybe read this?
