It’s an inverse bond. One character has a flag (like “gullible”) which effectively creates a move for everyone else in the group like “if you lie to me and I believe it, we both mark XP”.
It’s especially useful for games where attendance is variable, since bonds to missing players tends to get dull.

Rob Donoghue Interesting — I didn’t pick up that both people get XP for the action. I thought the button pusher did…I see that’s an optional rule in the text you cited.
Yah, sorry, I should of have been clear – there are multiple ways to implement the details.
I just read the article and I REALLY like flags. I’ll use them in my next campaign, and I’ll have the GM of the game I’m in now read the article!
