This is something small I did on my lunch break to convert the Arcane Duelist class into a compendium class. It’s basically just one custom move then I copy and pasted in the techniques

We discussed a big in the RPG Talk #dungeonworld chat room (http://rpg-talk.com/) about tweaking the Techniques to allow this to work with ranged weapons as well, but I haven’t implemented that yet.

Very cool. Feels like a very elegant design too! Possible dumb question: the idea is you choose your tech for each attack right? Or do you just choose one to imbue and use multiple times (as long as you have hold)
Yes, the former is the intent. Once you land the attack you choose from the techniques you know. Is there a way I could make that more clear?
I love it! Fits much better than the playbook itself
.
Probably Mirage is overpowered compared to Flowing, for example. I know, DW isn’t a game pushing for balance, however…
I wouldn’t say so necessarily. Mirage just deals damage to multiple people, but Flowing allows you to land an attack. The attacks themselves can trigger more things in the fiction, and can also allow you to apply more techniques.
If you and the GM don’t heavily emphasize the fiction then I’d agree it seems like one of the stronger ones.
