  1. I allow myself opening questions that broadly point to what I want, but I leave the answers to the players and move on from there.

    Like;

    How long has it been winter?

    Which undead do you fear most and why?

    Do you serve the usurping prince?

    So I get what I want in the setting, winter, undead, the wrong person on the throne, but the rest is a mystery that the players reveal to me.
