If I may be forgiven a personal note, this is the last Dungeon Starter I worked on before my dad died.

If I may be forgiven a personal note, this is the last Dungeon Starter I worked on before my dad died. Some Tavern patrons have asked me over the last couple of years why I’ve written so many and the simple answer is that it was a means I used to cope while caring for my parents. This seems a fitting tribute in a way.

  1. Aaron Griffin I really appreciate your empathy, but i don’t want you to feel bad. It was his time to go, he was in a lot of pain. The best thing to do is enjoy life and the people you care about as much as you can while you can, playing Dungeon World or not…:)

  2. My condolences 😢. Always tough loosing family.

But you have definitely created some great work during that time! I’m sure your dad was proud you have such creative talent. Keep it up, even if it’s not Dungeon Starters

  3. Robert Doe Oh, I’m sure I write a DW starter once in awhile. I’ve found it’s a good way to deal with bad stress. I would really like to try longer creative projects as well. As it is I have around 50; which I plan to post as a PDF fan archive as a resource for my fellow players. Also a few may turn up revamped and more professional thanks to a possible future Jason Lutes sponsored supplement. I actually started writing Mysteries for Monster of the Week for a change of pace at the end. They are posted at the Monster-of-the-Week Roadhouse.
