Hello taverners, I’m prepping to run a DW one-shot that has the potential to expend into a semi-regular campaign with a rotating cast of players. I remember seeing on here in the last few months someone had worked up a system to do a sandbox hexcrawl-type campaign by making a 5×5 grid of index cards with steadings and dangers randomly dealt out, and someone else(?) had put together some information about doing a keep on the borderlands-style thing where the party took some responsibility for a steading and managed it as it grew over the course of the campaign. Both of these ideas seem like a slam dunk for my current needs, but my google-fu appears to be failing me and I can’t find them anywhere. Anyone happen to remember these popping up?

Re: the steading management, you may be thinking of Jeremy Strandberg’s Stonetop setting:

Jason Lutes Nope, although I have seen it and it looks cool. No it was specifically designed to ape keep on the borderlands. I remembering something about it being set like in the north of the world at like a mountain pass, and the dangerous wilder tribes had disappeared so the southern folk had started to expand. The person had notes about like, different parts of the keep that could be restored, if you brought back x amount of coins and some griffon feathers you could rebuild the shrine and that gave you access to new goods and services. Stuff like that.
Sounds pretty cool, hope you can find it.
