Hey all, I just put the finishing touches on my rendition of the Warlord for Dungeon World. This was inspired by the D&D 4e class of the same name. I’m just waiting on getting a cover made up before I release the whole thing, but if you want a preview take a look.

  1. What I really loved about the warlord was not only was he a martial cleric, but he could bolster his team without needing to heal them either. His words commanded authority and experience, which led to improved party action.

The warlord, in my opinion, could be the best class for DW were Fiction is concerned. He ‘moves’ the pieces on the chess board

  2. I hope that somewhere in there is a “half-elven” style move where you pick up another background. Having an advanced move depend on a background opens up some pretty neat thematic space, but people get five of those advanced moves so there’s definitely space to want multiples.

When I wrote out the Princess lo those many months ago, I had a background give a starting move, but also let you take the starting moves your background didn’t give you as advances.
