Great review of Dungeon World. I really dig this guy’s approach to fantasy roleplaying. He has great enthusiasm!

Getting drunk to do a review is pretty juvenile but I like his enthusiasm and he hits some of the good points for sure.
I sort of want to share this with two guys this week who, in this community, separately suggested adding crunchier battle math and a grid to DW. Seems like this guy’s answer is better for them. Play D&D but steal DW’s narrative mechanics.
My favorite part was him having the moment I had when you finally “get it” about DW. The simplicity of the system is deceiving because you don’t just get a fun, streamlined game, you get these powerful tools that you can use with other games and all the while wondering why these other games are complicating things they shouldn’t.
