FBotF mentions requiring Dungeon World to play, but it seems pretty self contained. Is this like how OD&D claims you need Chainmail to play, but you don’t really. I haven’t played Dungeon World. Is there obvious stuff that won’t make sense or I’ll be missing out on if I actually try and run FBotF?
This thing is really cool, also.
Sub. I’m planning to use this for some OSR games.
I want to see if I can use some if it for my Carcosa game. (The town and travel moves.)

Ramanan S, if it looks to you like it would work with whatever system you’re running, go for it. I’d be super curious to hear how it plays out in another context. The DW caveat is in there because the FotF rules aren’t comprehensive (no “how to play an RPG” section, no mention of how monsters work, etc.).
I wonder if anyone here could cobble together the missing parts. I feel like I can guess how the game would play based on what’s there, though.
Seems like you could use the moves straight up in D&D to make travel and town stuff its own mini games.
Ramanan S, the entire ruleset is online here: http://book.dwgazetteer.com/
I’ve heard reports from folks in the OSR community who’ve folded *World “moves” into their games with much success.

this page right here should explain everything that’s fallen in the cracks between the perilous wilds module/hack and the very basics of dungeon world you may not understand.
Awesome thanks Harrison s
