Not a typo, but something about the dungeon theme countdown should probably be clarified.

Not a typo, but something about the dungeon theme countdown should probably be clarified. Perilous Wilds p. 54 and p. 56 says that they depend on the dungeon’s size, but I can’t find anything about it on p. 55. Reading the example and looking at the templates in the Survival Kit, I assume that the number of themes is also the countdown for each of them, but it’s not clearly written.

Thanks!

  1. Hi Jordan,

I think the text you’re looking for is on page 54:

A dungeon’s size determines how many themes and areas it can have (see below), as well as the size of each theme’s countdown. The “Theme” column on this table refers to both the number of themes and the size of each countdown. The “Area limit” column lists the number of common and unique areas in a dungeon of that size.

This may be easy to miss because the table itself falls on page 55, and one would rightly expect the size of a theme’s countdown to be covered under the “Dungeon Theme” heading. I’ll see if I can make this more clear, thanks for pointing it out.

  2. As a suggestion, I think that restating it again under the “Countdowns” section (p. 55) would do the trick. For other people. Not people like me. 😉
