I’m starting a new game and one of the players wants a character like Nightcrawler, who can teleport. Anyone have a class or compendium class like that?

  1. Here are some moves I made for a teleporting race in my homebrewed campaign.

Bamf – You teleport to a place that is within sight and close. On 10+ you accomplish it with no complications, on 7 – 9 choose one of the following: * You bring unwanted attention to yourself  *Your arrival is impeded and you suffer d4 damage *You don’t end up where you wanted but somewhere else determined by the GM. 6- You temporarily short out your porting ability for the next 24 hours.

    Advanced Moves

When you gain a level from 2-5, you may choose from these moves:

Portal – Requires Bamf. You can now take another person along with you and you may teleport to somewhere near. Roll as you would with Bamf.

Safe passage – Requires: Bamf. You may teleport to a place that you cannot see but is close. Roll as normal for bamf.

When you gain a level from 6-10, you may choose from these moves as well as the level 2-5 moves:

Here, there & everywhere – Requires: Portal.  You may teleport a far distance. On a 10+ you may teleport immediately again if you so desire. On a 7 – 9 you arrive safely, -6  you suffer some minor inconvenience.

Death defying –  Requires: Portal.  You may now use your teleport ability when defying danger.

  2. You could chunk out the Fold moves from Guyll’s nomad as a CW specialty.

If a racial move I would limit it somewhat. Something like “when you defy danger with quick thinking or reflexes, on a hit you may also teleport to a spot nearby that you can see.”

  3. Marshall Brengle The nomad looks great! I think I’ll use what’s there and hope the final comes out soon or I somehow get access to the latest version.

  4. The Sword Mage Robert Quintero mentioned can Blink and has some moves expanding on that.  It’s a neat class – one of my players used it to great effect and enjoyment.
