I’m not the first person to realize that Adventures on Dungeon Planet is an amazing way to play Guardians of the Galaxy, right?

Tailor made, I think.
Quill obviously Earthling.
I’m thinking Groot would fit Engine of Destruction, with some tweaks robot > plant.
The others are aliens, possibly some borrowings from other sources. (Drax being a fighter or barbarian)
No Andy! You use Guardians without Galaxies!
William Timmins: Gamora is probably an Alien Thief.
I am Groot
I think Rocket would be a Technician.
Side note: “I am Groot” needs to be a n advanced move for some class.
Agreed. Gamora could also be as assassin, Drax a pit fighter/brute/criminal, or besereker and Quill a trickster/con-man/burglar . Rocket and Groot really fit as a Tech and an Engine of Destruction (tweaked).
We are Groot!
Rocket and Groot should be one playbook.
Chris Mitchell I disagree. Each of them is easily identifiable as a distinct character archetype in the classic ‘five man band’ as defined by TV Tropes:

Rocket and Groot use Aid a lot. 😀 Also, because Groot is tall, they act as a vantage point for Rocket, who probably appreciates being able to get to a better position without Defying Danger!
I just like two character books.
Chris Mitchell Me too. I played an ettin mage in a Planarch Codex campaign.
You could always fill Groot’s role with an ettin, or convert the Macaluso from Apocalypse World.
