Has anybody played a Thief the Dark Project or Dishonored type DW session or campaign?

I’d love to hear some great ideas!

(Yes I have the City Thief playbook. It is awesome.)

  1. Only thing that’s tricky about Thief or Dishonored is with them being solitary games, the idea of throwing in a group is a little tricky to emulate but you can easily steal the world & missions to throw into your DW game once you built it better for a group to run through.

  2. I’m thinking the dystopian punk punk genre as a setting. That would be the easy part, the difficult part would be the sneaking around:  As Darren Priddy  mentioned it would be difficult for a whole group.

  3. It feels more Fafhrd and Grey Mouser, but Rob Donoghue’s Mappers game looks like it entered that territory. http://walkingmind.evilhat.com/2014/05/24/mappers-2/

One session of my city based campaign featured a heist. It worked well, although the result was far less… elegant that Thief or Dishonored can be.

I don’t think the transition to multiple characters is that big of a deal. Project Dark is directly inspired by Thief: The Dark Project and works well with small groups.

  4. Project Dark is still in development from what I can tell. I posted on the designer’s website (Wil Hindmarch) and he replied that late backing is not (and has not been) open currently, but he will probably open up some preordering eventually. I think it was due for completion/shipping around GenCon
