Whew. Having a Necromancer and a Dhampir Shaman in the party is never a dull time.
Curses, Blood, and Spirits fly as they make deals to resurrect his son and her Vampire mistress in turn, and plan to betray each other.
Al the while the rest of the party stands by, needing their aid in the ongoing adventure but dreading what they actually whisper about huddled together around the campfire or in the corner of the tavern each night.
(No actual whispering takes place, all the players can clearly hear what is happening, it helps them emote “creeped out” in-character).
The sessions are exhaustingly good times.
Dhampir shaman? Sounds badass.
Playbook and race from Grim World. Not a powerful playbook, but I have loved what the player has done with it — she is certainly turned her character into one of our most memorable ones.
Frak! I have Grim World and haven’t dug into it yet.
Time to fix that!
Thus far I have only seen the Battlemaster in action and the player has grown very fond of her gambit dealing and fiction creating character.
How is the shaman in play?
My players just made a Primordial Ice Channeler of Ice (of course) and a self hating Dhamphir Slayer to replace their slain characters. Can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
Fr. Tom Yes, our Battlemaster has pulled it out of the fire for us on a number of occasions.
Tim Franzke Less powerful and without Ritual less flexible (although spirit catcher offers some great opportunities) than the Wizard, our player is gifted, she makes the playbook really breathe.
Eric Lochstampfor That evokes images of Omtose Phellack, the Elder Warren of Ice, if you get Malazan references.
