So I may run Dungeon World for some of my friends and I’ve seen some custom playbooks flying around the net. Should I allow any of these playbooks or should I just stuck with what’s in the book for now?

i played DW for first time last night and 3 of the 4 playbooks were custom ones. There were no problems but potentially some could be unbalanced. In our case one seemed underpowered rather than anything
That’s the only problem I see with using custom playbooks. They’re fan created, which means they will vary in quality and balance. If it’s your first time out so to speak, I’d stick with the “official” classes.
It can be a bad i idea to offer playbooks together that are meant as replacements for each other. Like the wizard and the Mage.
Or when you offer classes together that are better at a particular stick then others. Like something that can outfight the fighter shouldn’t be offered together with the fighter. Figuring this stuff out might be hard though without some insight I to he system.
I tend to stick to the “core classes” but I purchase all of the 3rd party classes I can. I like to rip moves from these to use for my own compendium classes.
