Tell me about any games of WoD 79, actual play etc. what are the games like? Give me some feeling for what a first session should be like (ala the DW chapter first session which is key to unlocking that game)? Why about monsters?
Peace an happy t-day, hope you survive Black Friday

World of Dungeons is a game that requires some very serious improvisational chops on the part of the GM. It strips down DW into the diamond-hard core of “yes, maybe, no and you’re fucked” and so, requires a pretty good handle on fictional positioning to set up what those parameters might be.
I, in all honesty, can’t GM it without just playing DW in my head anyway.
Death! I’ve only played it once, but we each started with three throwaway characters and went into it fully expecting them all to die in horrible (but interesting) ways. Had an absolute blast. We played it combined with the Mordheim Dungeon World hack, so the theme of redshirts mixed quite well.
Unfortunately, I had to drop out of the game because of time constraints, but I’d love to play something like it again!
James Hawthorne There’s a Mordheim hack?

Adam Koebel Awesome. Thanks!
Going back to original post, what about monster and first session? I am thinking it should be like DW just a blank map, a few monster or foe ideas and the player kibitzing their character creation?
Peace
