#BardWeek

Maybe one of THE bard tropes is the bard that travels from village to village, seduces people and then gets into trouble with their significant others on the next day.

Therefore:

FOOLING AROUND

When you seduce a GM character someone after an evening of performance, roll+CHA

On a hit you get some interesting information out of the pillow talk.

On a 7-9, choose 1 complication

– In the heat of the moment you divulge some information you shouldn’t have.  Tell the GM what it is

– You get caught by their significant other or parents

– They will fall in love with you and will cause a scene

You may choose an extra option from the 7-9 list, if you do you learn some information that is useful to your current adventure or troubles.

  1. I love this idea.

Getting caught by their parents or significant other feel very much the same to me.

Especially if you choose the extra info and choose getting caught by BOTH the parents and the S.O.

    Other ideas…hmmm…

What about “In the heat of the moment you divulge some information you shouldn’t have.  Tell the GM what it is.”  This makes it almost like a trade of secrets.

  2. If there’s one thing I don’t wanna do in a fantasy game, then it is to play it safe. I aim high and either score big time or die gloriously.

Turns out it can be hard to find GM’s who are willing to make you suffer from your recklessness 😉 Right Tim Franzke? xD

  3. On the move in more detail: After Guy Sodin’s idea for the fix, it really shines!

While playing World of Darkness, I was always fond of “plot device powers”, the supernatural abilities the GM could use to tell you something about what was going on, or something you need to know.

This is indeed a move that allows the GM to push things forward by being a fan of the character, which is even better!
