Reaching the finale of a short campaign and I’m going to throw enough threats to potentially kill off a few of the characters during an epic battle.

Should anyone die, I wanted to come up with a few moves they could perform as souls to keep them involved in the game. Possessions? Haunting? What do people think?

  1. I think the bargain with death they could make is more than enough to keep them going.  If they know that this is it they could say, “I will go, but before I do”  and they can pick the effect on the battle still raging.  I would love to die that way!

  2. I love the Death Moves they’re writing for Grim World. If you forgo the normal “Maybe Death has another plan for you” death move, you get one awesome last stand. They take their “When Heroes die, the world trembles” motto pretty seriously and make sacrifice a big deal.

The Bard hauls himself up from the ground for one final encore; The Fighter takes a nigh-unstoppable “If I go, I’m taking you with me!” charge.
