I want to customise the DW character sheets with my own settings names, looks and races. Would a standard pdf editor be able to do this? Any other options?

It be nice if someone could take the current character sheet, and make a blank canvas out of it. Make it easier to make custom character/classes.
I tried editing them myself with foxit, but there is no way to remove the current text, unless I am missing something.
Retrofitted from someones Class Creation, I’ve linked two file Types, Open office and RTF. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tony! That’s a pretty good option if I can’t edit the pdfs themselves.
Could someone post these files in a Google Drive somewhere? Dropbox isn’t letting me download them.
I tried drive, but it just messes with the formatting to much
You can download the Character sheets from the dungeon world github. https://github.com/Sagelt/Dungeon-World
I believe they are made with in-design, but there are free alternatives that can open the file for your editing pleasure.
Thank you James Savko , I’ll give that a try. Looking at using Scribus…hopefully that will do the trick.
Yep Scribus should do it! Good luck!
“Inkscape” that may offer some ability to drill down into the multiple layers. The PDF’s are saved as editable files with Adobe software; I’m gutting a character sheet right now.
The character sheets are all vector based, so any program that can edit vector graphics should be able to edit the character sheet.
Thanks Elliot! I’m having some trouble (could be I don’t know what i’m doing) with Sribus, so I’ll give Inkscape a try. Much appreciated.
Just curious, did Inkscape work?
I have yet to check if it does or not with those particular PDF’s.
I had not luck with either 🙁 Apparently indd files cant be opened by anything but indesign. I’m using the trial version of indesign and it seems to be working fine.
Oh, you should use the PDF versions, that is why. IND is proprietary I believe.
Okay thanks for this tip 🙂 I’ll give that a try and let you know.
Tomorrow, though. Bedtime here zzz
