Generally, you’re looking at two things that make a heist really count for something;
– the value of the thing that got stolen
– the importance of who you stole it from
So while stealing 10,000 coins is a big deal, stealing 100 coins from the purse of the Pasha Supreme is an even bigger deal.

My thief actually is to into treasure. But the thrill. Everything that is dangerous he will try. His dream is to survive the perfect trap just to say he did (through this he secretly hopes to impress a god enough to grant him a wish. To revive his dead first love)

Our group started out by stealing the criminal organization that was running the poorer half of a city, now the thief and her barbarian buddy seem to have their eyes on leveraging that into getting the rest of the city (possibly through hijacking legitimate power channels) as well. I expect this to end with us ruling the world or lighting half of it on fire.
