So my wizard received a staff for making it through her apprenticeship and I’m not quite sure what powers it should…

So my wizard received a staff for making it through her apprenticeship and I’m not quite sure what powers it should have. She is a storm Mage. She already performs a casting to ground herself before casting lightning, more or less to make the narrative more enjoyable. I was thinking something low powered but useful. Any ideas? This is only my second session so not too sure how to make magic items.

  1. May I suggest. Staff off (insert char name here ) has hold 3 , spend 3 hold and break the staff to teleport to the nearest wizard guild location, you can choose up to your level in additional people to come with. The staff is utterly destroyed.

    Spend 2 hold, the staff helps you channel your arcane power, roll twice for cast a spell and take the higher result.

    Spend one hold, activate a cantrip the staff has a cantrip set at creation that can be turned on and off only by (char name ) any penalties for ongoing spell still apply while staff is active

    Staff gains one hold each week.
