I suspect there are no d12 damage classes in Dungeon World because Adam Koebel and Sage LaTorra didn’t want to make a dodecahedron in InDesign. Discuss.

I heard that something unspeakably horrible happened to Adam when he was 12 and now he can’t stand to see the number. Even d12’s give him the Hebe-jeebees.
d12s are for dragons, and dragons alone. I suspect there’s no d12 damage class because nobody is playing 16hp dragons.
They’re just playing a 27hp fighter?
The first thing I thought when I saw the Barbarian was, What, no d12 for HP?
Same here. I love the d12 and it’s sorely missing from DW 😉
Richard Robertson: Well, we don’t use a d12 for HP, do we? You just get X HP, where X happens to always match the number of sides on your damage dice. Right?
Philip Espi: I suspect it also has something to do with keeping the group unified. A d4 and a d10 aren’t a huge different, and allows a wizard to go raging in with a broadsword. A d12 isn’t a marked improvement, but each step, blah blah blah.
I’m sorry, but a wizard with a broadsword is an heresy 😉
Slash archetypical! See, Gandalf. Unless you were being facetious.
Wizards/Mages with swords are cool!
