  1. Thanks for the info, so is the Free version of InDesign good enough to make a new class?  Or is it a timed version that will die on me in a month?

  2. 30 day trial might as well be free. It’s too easy to extend those trial periods… Besides, it’s not even illegal if you live in Europe.

But since I’m not interested in doing such things, does anyone know if an alternative for Linux users?

EDIT: What I mean is, the trial period thing is a joke, and it only works because a lot of people don’t know jack about how to properly use a computer. I do not in any way endorse illegal acquisition of software or other kinds of intellectual property. I believe credit should be given where it’s due.

  3. Yeah. I don’t have InkScape on this computer, but I think it opens them as .svg files, which you can then edit. I’m not 100% on the details, but the gents behind Inverse World made their super-awesome character sheets in InkScape (or so I have been led to believe).

  4. You may need to manually reenter headings and alter the fonts, as the official character sheets use a paid-for font. Personally, I’m a fan of Copperplate Gothic Light for headings and Minion Pro for text (minion pro being freely available if you install Adobe Reader and look in its directories).
