I’m getting ready to run my first Dungeon World game after being a player in Jason Cordova’s DW campaign.
How did it go?
Not bad, I used the free OSR adventure, Shane’s Delve from RPGNow, and Dale McCoy’s Kobolds writeup from his blog as the basis for the adventure. They party (we had a Elven Druid, Human Thief, Human Paladin, Human Cleric, and Elven Wizard) managed to cleanse the delve of the kobolds (except for one they missed) but the wizard managed to get himself killed by deciding to cast invisibility on himself and sneak into the kobold king’s bedchambers and attempt to assassinate him with a magic missile spell which he blew the casting roll on.
Did the players cotton to the system? Were they having a good time?
Yeah everyone liked it (except maybe John, I’ll have a discussion with him about it tomorrow) and want to continue it as a monthly campaign.
