When I run a higher level convention one shot I am going to give out some cards with magical/special weapons or gear. The player decides where they got it and what it does based on the description.

High level as in concept or as high mechanical level?
Cards – super cool. Starting high level – don’t see why it’s more fun than starting first level. Takes more time to start.
Mechanical level, and these are one shots so want to show game at different levels
