NYC area DWers, anyone interested in starting a Meetup or something similar for occasional one off games? My group plays somewhat regularly but it would be fun I think to have a mailing list where one could say “I’m interested in hosting a one off game for 4 players this Sunday in Ft Greene- anyone interested?”
I love our campaign but as the GM it would also be fun to have a stab at playing a character for a few hours, meet other gamers, see other styles of play, etc. Seems like there’s a reasonable number of players in New York to make this worth considering.

I have, and I gm for Recess most of the time. I’ve found that it’s not a great place to find gamers for one off stuff though. Nor are any of the forums I’ve tried. Given the number of IT professionals in the hobby, you’d think there would be a good online system to match players to games, but I’ve found the current options inconsistant at best. In any event, it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of interest in this, so it’s all good.
