Signature weapons – can i be the prince of a kingdom and have an ancestral blade forged by my family with this ability:
Glows in the presence of one type of creature, your choice.
And take the creature type: “people of my family” so that my blade does allways shine with the power of the sun?
I don’t see why not. That’s a type of creature, after all.
It’s also a very cool idea.
Not to mention having a magical glowy sword you can’t turn off can cause all kinds of fun trouble.
Well, “people of your family” isn’t actually a whole lot of people XD Unless your subjects are considered “family” as well
Well, save that I assume “You” are considered part of “your family”.
That would be a wonderfull twist, what if you are NOT actually part of the royal blood? Good reason to go questing but that would be a waste of the move choice i fear.
For an everglowing sword you could allways just use your own creature type but that isn’t as cool i think.
As I mentioned elsewhere, my groups fighter accidentally DID wind up with a magical glowing weapon that they can’t turn off.
Her hammer glows in the presence of the undead, and she rolled a 7-9 on her Last Breath last session…
I assume you can… and surely the GM could use it easily on the move Show a downside to their class, race, or equipment when it’s his turn to do a move. Also, consider that the weapon simply glows, it’s not a light such the sun.
Dylan Boates consider this Last Breath trick/twist stolen. It’s awesome!
