I ran DW for the first time the other night using a sort of on-the-fly conversion of the old X2 module, Castle Amber. It went well! There was what seemed like a near-perfect balance of RP, investigation and beating things up. And the players focused on exactly the kinds of things it seemed the original module wanted them to – the strange personas and the oddity and madness of the location and the PCs’ circumstances. It was very cool. I’m very much looking forward to running the next part of it next weekend. 🙂
