Inspired by some comments in the recent thread about paying for Dungeon World supplementary materials, I thought I’d take people up on the advice offered: making available an earlier draft of a work for feedback.
So, I have an Adventure Primer I’ve been writing. It’s a bunch of notes about a place, some NPCs, some monsters, a possible plot, and a Front. It is mostly done as far as I can tell — but hey, I could be wrong! I’d like to make it available to interested parties who:
•Will take my Primer and run a game with it.
•Come back to me with their thoughts and feedback.
•Want to read some cool setting stuff about a dwarven city, a prison, a couple rituals, and an item or two.
If you’re interested, please let me know! I want to fine-tune this thing so I can really focus on polishing my presentation!
Horror, terror and sanity in Dungeon World? How would / do you model it?

My personal preference is to create a sort of wagering system using Wisdom as currency. Like HP, in a way. Your starting Sanity is your Wisdom + a number based on your class.
When you encounter something that threatens to overtake your sanity, risk between 0 and 3 points, and roll plus that number. On a 10+ choose 2, on a 7-9 choose 1.
– you keep the points you risked
– you resist the effects of fear
– you won’t suffer trauma later
Something like that.
The goal here would be to create a move that;
1) shows a slowly dwindling supply of mental fortitude
2) doesn’t ever take away player agency
3) reflects mechanically the narrative of being “afraid” etc
So what is your guys take on people selling DW classes for 1-2 bucks online?

I actually find this to be really strange and kind of backwards.
I am attempting to stat up a mythical monster, the Shaggy Beast of France.
I am attempting to stat up a mythical monster, the Shaggy Beast of France. Legend has it that it was invulnerable with one notable exception: it died when someone hacked off its tail.
My question: would it be better to give it 4 armor and declare that the killing blow had severed its tail; or to leave HP and armor blank and simply give it the special quality “may only be killed by cutting off its tail?”
