I thought of a cool character concept but I’m not sure how I could pull it off character moves wise as I’m fairly new to the DW system. I was thinking of a conjurer battle mage who can summon his/her weapons and armor changing them whenever the situation in a fight changes. They should be able to add a weapon or piece of armor to their “arsenal” but perhaps they only have a limited amount of space in their “arsenal” based on their level. Any ideas or suggestions?

When I first got into Dungeon World, I was really excited to check out what cool magic slingin’ classes were available – but honestly, the Wizard never appealed to me, and the Mage (as Jacob Randolph himself has noted) is too open-ended. This lead me to create my own magic-user playbook – the Spellcaster! My goal was to capture all the most archetypal aspects of wizards and mages in one simple playbook.

I’d appreciate any and all comments and criticism that you guys can offer. Thanks!

I’m not sure what class would best cover all the bases for a typical conjurer. Any suggestions?

Here’s an inquisitor class I made a long time ago.

Here’s an inquisitor class I made a long time ago. I actually made a lot of classes but never shared them with the Dungeon World tavern, hah. Anyway, this was my first try at creating a custom class and my inspiration came from all over the place, but the feel I was going for was a gritty detective getting caught up in webs of lies way out of his league. I tried to evoke the feeling of a mundane person that investigates magical or supernatural crimes and mysteries, and is somewhat armed to solve them as well. I think this class would really shine in a noir style game, or anything not involving excessive dungeon crawling, really.

I had shared the old version of this a few weeks ago.

I had shared the old version of this a few weeks ago. After a little playtesting, I updated it quite a bit. Fundamentally still based upon avatar: the last airbender as well as the legend of Korra. Hopefully it’s improved but I’d love some feedback.

Play test is going quite well. Any thoughts on this class?

During play test, we didn’t get to see the great ape, though we saw an amazing Super Saiyan transformation. He was fighting a Dragon as he got engulfed in flames. Unfortunately his late was taken; however, he was able to succeed last breath, as a Nephilim ally saved him with Lay on Hands. Through, What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger, he was able to level. Be added a point to Strength, he was at 17. And in a final charge up, he used Next Time On Dragonball… To increase it once more. Giving him +3. As he leveled, he obtained Super Saiyan at level 2 through Half-Saiyan. And had the modifier prerequisite to transform. He single handedly ended the dragon’s life.

I’m sure that this has been asked before, somewhere, but I cant seem to find anything on it specifically.

I’m sure that this has been asked before, somewhere, but I cant seem to find anything on it specifically. What happens if the Fighter loses their Signature Weapon, even temporarily? The Playbook says: “Your weapon, without you, is useless. Without your weapon, you are useless. You must wield your weapon true.”

Assuming that they’ve been separated from their Signature Weapon in a manner that befits the fiction (and I have no problem separating a Fighter with Fists for a Signature Weapon from them), what are the narrative and mechanical consequences of and event? How have people reinforced that the Fighter must reclaim their Signature Weapon? What does this look like in the narrative?

Or perhaps more plausibly, what happens when a fist fight breaks out in the tavern and the Fighter decides to brawl it out, rather than laying waste to civilians with the Signature Weapon? Are they useless in that circumstance?
