cigarette break and my gf takes a picture. Tonight, Sbrocco the Conqueror, halfling barbarian, (Sbrocco may seem an hobbit name, but in italian it actually is our regional slang for “hit the roof”) and Sir Cassis the paladin, guardian of the infinity (a mix between Avatar Aang and the Green Lantern), slayed an almighty shadowflame undead champion by forcing his fireball-throwing hand to explode inside his own mouth.

also, we drink a lot of beer. That 2-litres carafe among glasses was full of it. And it wasn’t the only one. That may explain why we had so much fun…
I assume SIr Cassius is now ‘arm-less 😉
Looks like a blast! Beer is good for gaming 🙂
Where in Italy do you guys play?
We’re in Rome! And the paladin is actually called Cassis. It’s a long story…
Bring on the Gracchi brothers! Power to the Populares!
very inspirational photo. this is how a gaming table should look 🙂
I see you don’t have a map or miniatures or anything laid out… how do you do combat without it?
Well I don’t know, I think we do it how it’s meant to be in DW. I sketch maps of every location we visit room by room, section by section, as we create it. You can’t see them, but there’s a very bad sketched world map (with lots of different calligraphies and drawing styles and drawing materials, since each one of us updates the world map on the go while adding a location), and an even worse map of the crypt they cleaned up that night right under the handbook. Uh, we also had handy a previous map of the Submerged Kingdom they visited some time ago, since they got there for a short time to settle some scores.
As for minis, I never used them but would love to. We never remember to bring them, and when we do, the maps are too small scaled to be useful anyway. However, each player just roughly remembers in which general zone of the map their character is, and that’s just fine as it is. In case of emergency, we have plenty of dice to use in place of minis! 🙂
