I want to share a base class I came up with and hopefully get some feedback (also, it’s apparently pretty good, so I’m hopefully giving you something to use in your next campaign).
This is already published through Brandon Schmelz’s Funhaver Games/Industries so I don’t know if I’ll be able to do major alterations, but all criticism is definitely welcome. Please let me know what you think!
(Also, not sure what’s up with the floating dots on the first page or the white border around the class image, and Google Docs has issues with the fonts – I’d recommend downloading it for best effect.)
Whoops, didn’t mean to make it look like I was criticising, sorry. I just checked and the dots do appear on my DTRPG copy, though, which is weird – they didn’t on the preview you sent me and I thought they might be gdocs’ fault.
Why does it have a d8 damage dice?
Tim Franzke Because the fiction it’s based off of (basically, a lot of the Malazan Book of the Fallen stuff) has shamans being capable of handling a spear or knife. They’re not dedicated warriors (that’s the Fighter and his d10/10hp) but they’re not bookish types, so I didn’t want them to be relegated to d6 class damage and felt d8 was more appropriate.
(Incidentally, Sage LaTorra, I posted the Shaman here – I’d be eternally grateful if you had five minutes to look at it!)
