So I’ve been thinking a good deal about Dragon Age Inquisition, more specifically, their Power stat, and War Table operations. I have also been thinking about the Merchant from Class Warfare, and how they have business ventures. I gave a visual novel archetype called Ojou that ability, which I renamed Zaibatsu. I changed up some minor details, but I was thinking also that it would be an interesting optional rule to include provisions for large scale “corporate warfare”. Like scaled way above what The Sprawl does, and also kind of in keeping with Dragon Age Inquisition’s Power mechanic (spend power in the board room to do corporate missions, which may unlock small scale personal missions). I already have an exchange rate of 500 yen=1 DW Coin. I have expanded on Inverse World’s Stress mechanic because I thought it would be cool to stat out buildings individually for the purposes of Mecha. The Miko and Ojou have Havens (like in Monster of the week) and those are equivalent to 5-8 stress from Inverse World. I was thinking that I want Power to match up where one such haven is about 1 Power, and also have ventures be worth a particular power value. Anybody got any ideas for this?

I know nothing about DAI, but I LOVE seeing people take things from different games – X from CW, Y from IW, Z from MotW – and mash it together to create something new. I’m interested to see how this goes!
Yeah, the book this will all be in is on my discord in its current incarnation. Since I expanded Stress from IW (and scaled it to the Harm system putting 1 stress at 3 harm–or I call it blood since characters can also be bruised and not die) structures can have different benchmarks other than 3
A minshuku was calculated to 7 Stress.
A small shrine in an example was calculated to 13 Stress
The Bazooka Cafe was calculated to 45 stress.
With those numbers in mind, I could see the Bazooka Cafe being worth about one venture. If we calculate Power as 1 power per 5 stress rounded to the nearest, we have 1, 3, and 9 power.
I had originally thought to give the Zaibatsu 10 max power per venture, but allow for damage to vary that a little bit (a rocket to the window seems like it could reasonably affect power, so this works because the rocket deals 3 stress, or rounding up, 1 power).
I’m not sure the Minshuku deserves that 1 power, but if I use 10 stress to 1 Power, that puts the RPG7 right out. That has its own merit, but I still think it would be cool to let one guy with an RPG-7 to “stick it to the man” in his own way.
