I don’t understand William Nichols.
Tim Franzke Sixth level cleric takes a multiclass move, and takes the wizard’s spellcasting. Does the cleric now cast as a 7th level cleric, or a sixth level one?

Multiclass Moves
The multiclass moves allow you to gain moves from another class. You get to choose any move of your level or lower. For the purpose of multiclassing, any starting class moves that depend on each other count as one move—the wizard’s cast a spell, spellbook, and prepare spells for example. If a move from another class refers to your level, count your levels from the level where you first gained a move from that class.
For example, when Gregor becomes a second level fighter, he chooses Multiclass Dabbler. He can choose a move from any other class as if he was one level lower, so he can only choose starting moves. He decides to take the wizard’s cast a spell move, so he gains the spellbook and prepare spells moves as well. Since prepare spells refers to his level, he counts his levels only since he gained a wizard move— so he casts spells like a first level wizard. When he gains another level, no matter what move he chooses, he’ll prepare spells like a second level wizard.

If George was an eight Level Fighter and took the Spellcasting Move he would count his Wizard Level from this point and he prepares like a 1 Level Wizard. At Level 10 like a Level 3 Wizard.
Otherwise a Level 7 Bard would suddenly become a 6 Level Wizard (but still only knowing Level 1 Spells)
The cleric casts cleric spells as a cleric of his level and wizard spells like a level 1 wizard.
I’m pretty sure it’s the same deal, William! Level x Cleric, level 1 wizzard.

The 5th level bard would cast like a level 1 wizard. A 7th level cleric, no matter what moves they choose, casts like a 7th level cleric.
