So I seem to be running a desert game at the moment. Im thinking of maybe taking it into an Arabian nights direction. Anyone know of any good resources/books? I have been looking at Caliphate nights (d20) so I might just grab it.

We’ll, if you’ve never fully read 1001 Arabian Nights, it can be a fantastic read for this.
Brennan OBrien Yeah I should get on that…

I just started something like this with my two younger sons – the tale of Yusuf the shapeshifter and Gorm the island dwarf posted elsewhere in the Tavern was from the first session.
I’m relying on my own general knowledge of the Medieval Muslim world/Ottoman Empire (okay but not great), but I’d love to find some more resources speaking towards those ends. We’re leaving blank spaces on the map, and playing to find out, but I would love some help with theme and details.
If you know someone with a copy of the board game Tales of the Arabian Nights, borrow it and flip through the book of tales. It’s chock full of short, weird tales begging to be turned into RPG seeds.
Noah Doyle Well the tales of the caliphate book is $10 so I had to get it. Looks like it might be going out of print.

I have all the al-qadim soucebooks, and use those when I’m running an arabian campaign.
I like the GURPS Arabian Nights book.
