I’ve been following a fascinating “let’s read” thread on rpgnet about the 1st edition “Oriental Adventures” line.
It has made me wonder if anyone has done any work on a possible Dungeon World “Oriental Adventures” hack or playset.
Does anyone know of such a thing?
I’ve got plans for an “eastern DW” though I’ve only done some basic preliminary work. It will be a long time before a final product.
However I did recently find out about a reskin of the playbooks into a “far east” theme. It is the only thing I know of that comes close to what you are talking about.
You can do a search for “Dungeon World: Far East” but this is where I found a copy of the PDF:

Cool, thanks!
I look forward to seeing your eventual take on it. Good luck.
I have had an idea for making a ninja by playing a fighter and taking called shot and backstab and a samurai by taking quest and just playing him in that style. I am a fan of the Asian flavor being mixed into classic fantasy sometimes. I even ran an Asian themed pathfinder campaign once.
That sounds fun too! Especially if we’re combining it with a sort of Final Fantasy CRPG aesthetic, which I enjoy.
Jason Shea Those playbooks are great, thanks for the link.
