Quick question: Your load is 9+STR.
Is it like HP 9+12=21 or is it using the modifier 9+0=9.
Makes a huge difference and we calculated it like HP in our first session and I feel like load plays no role at all.

Number + MOD. In your example, 9.
When ever you see the 3 letter abbreviation it is the modifier. When you see the ability score fully spelled out it is the total score.
In my opinion it should be the other way around.
9+STR means 9+ MOD, I’d say.
That’s correct, it’s 9+STR, so it uses the modifier. If it reads 9+Str, so would use the stats.
In my wonderful dreams I hope in a new DW version removing that 9-18 Stats. I know, it’s a legacy of D&D, still I think 90% of DW players can live without that. There are minimum adjustments to do in the system to make all working with just the modifiers -1 / +3
Agreed. I told them back in an earlier stage that we didn’t gain enough to make it worth having two sets of stats, but they didn’t buy it.
