Hello! I’m looking for image heavy resources for learning about nomads and nomad culture. This could be of any era, but the older the better. Any recommendations?

It needn’t be image heavy, but that would be ideal.
Google North American Plains Indians, the Scythians, and the Mongolian Nomads. that should give you a broad very diverse well to draw from for inspiration.
Devil’s Horsemen is an awesome book on the Mongols… it is also an audio book… I actually finished it as an audio book on a long car ride. Highly recommend.
As for images, I recommend PInterest which has a ton of Mongol images… I’ve got a bunch in my reference here, scattered throughout but a chunk of horse archers at the bottom:

Do some googling on the Maasai, too. Good counter-point to the horse-based nomadic groups already mentioned above, and there’s tons of amazing photography and visuals out there.

Oh yes, the Maasai. There’s also a modern tribe in that region of Africa of woman who have bonded together in order to escape sexual violence and other abuses. I can’t remember what they call themselves… and, I don’t know if they’re nomadic or not, but they’re worth looking into.
