Any recommendations for running Freebooters in an already existing setting? I’ve been thinking about running something in either Dolmenwood or Hubris (very different, I know) and wonder if exploration of those worlds would be a good fit for the system.

Yochai Gal My only concern would be with the Establish move – ie possibly going against what was already in the setting. (ie via Wormskin)
Isn’t that true for any OSR module or setting though?
Shane Liebling Also curious to hear this answer. When I ran Hot Springs Island, we just ignored the Establish move, sadly.
I am running Death Frost Doom, and when we rolled Establish and I read the result “your best guess is true” and I turned right around and used dungeon world’s Spout Lore instead. Worked reasonably well. It seems that Establish is meant for pure improv games?
David Schirduan Yeah… I feel like things like Spout Lore and Discern Realities can make it tough to use existing materials via DW-related games – at least outside of a more abstract manner other than perhaps World of Dungeons.
I would assume either cutting the Establish move or hacking it would be the main options… I’d be interested in other thoughts though.
