What is your favourite Fighter-like playbook?
You know the kind I mean. Largely mundane, but still exemplary. A lot of the ones I’ve seen put the focus on their sheer strength, or on numbers, or on just being good at combat – but that’s so boring! Do you have any personal favourites, Tavern-goers?
I’m biased, but I like the way the Fourth World Warrior turned out.
I really enjoyed playing the Wrestler. A good fighter but also lots of charismatic interaction with the world. Just as much a showman as trying to go around fighting all the time. Also fun positioning myself in the fiction to pull of the Leap of Faith move (getting on top of buildings etc.). Just so much more fictional possibilities then hacking with a sword (I didn’t even have a sword my signature weapon was brass knuckles). Pinning someone and taking their weapon. Gathering information through the Showboat move. If your fame grows NPCs may aid you. Just a lot of fun ways to interact with the world beyond the hack and slash trope.
I noticed the link to the Wrestler is dead. If someone can tell me how to upload a pdf I can do that lol
Lester Ward I’ll have to take a look!
Daniel SoilBuilder Is it this one (Link). If so it’s in the DW Class Vault.
If not, you should upload it to your Google Drive and link it that way!

The Veteran options from Class Warfare are pretty solid.
Awful Good Games’ Fighter is my personal fave.
Here is the Wrestler. Someone might want to save this to a more permanent location so it doesn’t get lost again.

The wrestler was super fun for the little while I played it. Especially from a rp standpoint. My weapon of choice was a steel chair.
Shameless plug. I now have shame.
