Dungeon World can be a confusing game especially if you come from rule heavy games such as D&D. I have compiled the changes I have made to the game in order to make it more enjoyable to my players. Hopefully, some of these hacks may serve your game.

It’s an interesting idea. Personally I don’t think DW needs to be ‘more like D&D’ but I can appreciate that some groups coming from more rules-heavy games might struggle with Dungeon World at first, I’d point them towards this handy guide:

Red Dice Diaries definitely! It is a good guide. However, some people struggle even after reading the guide. It happened to my group.
My hacks are not a solution to not understanding DW but rather a different approach. Approach that on reddit has been scorn to the point where I am now wondering if I am the equivalent of a DW Hitler.
Victor Julio Hurtado : That’s cool – different groups are naturally going to approach games differently based on their own preferences, it’s not an approach that appeals to me personally, but whatever works for your group
You’ll often find their is vocal resistance from any community passionate about a subject to any attempt to present a different approach to it, especially on the internet. I wouldn’t let it worry you too much
