The sky is falling…
10 Questions inspired by the initial sequences of Diablo III
What is historically significant about this town?
Which of you live in the town and were at the wrong place at the wrong time when the horde attacked?
Which of you were outside the gates fighting alongside the Town Watch?
Which of you were coming down from the hills and, seeing the battle from afar hastened to help the defenders?
What type of horde is attacking the town gates?
How close is the horde to breaching the gates?
How is this attack related to the flaming object that fell from the sky last night?
How close to the town did it strike, and how large of a crater did it make?
What type of building did the falling object strike?
Who was in the building when the object struck?
I had a great time playing my “Skyrim Start” Out of the Frying Pan… so I crafted these questions for a “Diablo III Start”. Coming soon, a “Witcher 3 Start”
I really like these.
I had a similar idea in the works for Sword Breaker 4. It will change up the usual order of things by offering some moves, items, a compendium class, etc… then have several starters loosely based on famous nautical adventures.
I’m looking forward to reading it… when will Issue 3 come out BTW?
It should come out early next week. I hope to write the last bits this weekend and scan in the art on Monday.
It’s really fun to see how your players tackle these starters of yours. I hope we’ll see more.
I’m going to do one other Video Game (Witcher 3) before I try to come up with some original content. It probably won’t be as good as the one’s based on video games LOL.
Brian Holland these are fun!
On a related note, did you know about this bad boy that Sage and Adam wrote?

I posted once about a Riverwood (from Skyrim) steading that I made and Adam replied “I made Tristram once. It’s floating around the webs somewhere” (or something like that). This is the first time I’ve seen it though. I’m 99.99999% sure this is going in my DW Travel Kit! Thanks Jeremy Strandberg!!
I’m not going to post it – because I want to have 10 or 20 that I can release in a small supplement – but I just finished a World Primer (that’s what I’m calling these now) for The Red Wedding from A Game of Thrones.
This one really excites me because two of my players have neither read nor seen GoT, so I can’t wait to get together with them and see what they come up with.
I’m going to keep plugging away at these and hopefully have something cool to release in the near future!
