  1. As for that, Eric Nieudan… The following moves from my variant move books have proven essential for making campaign-style play possible.

    Quick conversion comment:

    (!) 12+

    (+) 10-11

    (=) 7-9

    ( – ) 3-6-

    (x) 2

    SYSTEM SHOCK

When you reach zero hit points, you must be revived by the immediate application of healing (spells, potions, bandages, etc.) or you will die. If you are revived, you are in shock and must roll +con:

(!) One of your wounds wasn’t as bad as it seemed. Heal 1d6 HP.

    (+) You made it through!

(\=) You made it through, but there’s a cost; choose one from the list below.

( – ) You made it through, but there’s a heavy cost. Choose two from the list below.

[] Burn 1d6+1 points of two random abilities

[] A random posession has been destroyed

[] Burn half your class points (round up)

[] You can’t do anything except limp along until you make camp

    * = You can choose these options multiple times.

    (x) You are dead after all…

    BACK FROM BEYOND

    When you die, roll +luc:

(!) You’re alive with 1HP. Choose 1 from the list below.

(+) You’re alive with 1 HP. Choose 2 from the list below.

(=) You’re alive with 1 HP. Choose 3 from the list below.

[] You’ve incurred a major, permanent injury (ask the GM).

[] Your most precious carried posession has been destroyed.

[] Permanently lose 1HD -con HP (min 1 loss, min 1 left)

[] Permanently burn 2 points in a random ability

[] Permanently lose 1 Class Point

    (Favor, Mettle, Cunning, Power)

[] You can’t do anything except struggle along until you recover in a settlement.

= You can choose these options multiple times.

(- ) or (x): You are dead. Roll up a character or take over a follower.

  2. Ah, I see how these would make it easier to play a character for more than a few sessions. I like Back from Beyond, it has a few interesting options. Thanks for sharing, Maezar!
