Would you let a Warrior have a ranged signature weapon?

Sure. Is there a reason you think not?
That would be cool. I’d go for it.
There are at least two reasons to think ranged weapons would be an exception:
> Choose a base description, all are 2 weight:
> Sword
> Axe
> Hammer
> Spear
> Flail
> Fists
>
> Choose the range that best fits your weapon:
> Hand
> Close
> Reach
To paraphrase advice I heard elsewhere: If you pick a weapon from the list, you are playing Dungeon World. If you make up your own, you are playing Advanced Dungeon World.
Only if it’s their very favorite gun.
John Stephens Axe, Reach could arguably be thrown
Aaron Griffin, sure. And “fists, reach” could be someone who fights like Dhalsim from Street Fighter 2.
I have before. I let a fighter make a bow be her signature weapon because she wanted to be an amazon. I didn’t see a problem with it.
John Stephens I made a ratling weapon that was basically a claw on a chain called Rats Tale, that could be used at short or reach so yeah.
But spear is on there and that could be ranged as well…
I would. Make it happen Uthur!
Only if there is no ranger. If there is a ranger then i would probably not since its kind of stepping on their toes a little bit.
A ranged signature weapon could have limitless ammo as an enchantment.
A signature spear could have the teleportation tag, returning to its owners hand after being thrown
Potential 7-9 result: you hit the target, but the target teleports back with it.
