I’ve been making a couple of passes through some of my old projects, and I decided to try making a simple version of the Druid to go with my previous Simple Playbooks project. I decided to limit Shapeshift to just a few different predetermined forms to make it simpler. It’s enough to give a good spread of potential moves while not adding too much burden on coming up with moves and adjucation on the spot. Any requests for more forms? I could go with one or two more.
I tried putting in a GM reference sheet, but honestly, I was just copying the book almost verbatim. Maybe just a cover sheet/rules reference page.
And yes, I did make a Paladin too. It’s almost completely unchanged from RAW.

AH you are the one with the simplified playbooks. I had downloaded them and couldnt find out from where. They are awesome and great for one shots (I think.. going to try it at my local store soon :D)
Peter J you should totally put your name on these!
Love this.
Thanks Jeremy, but I didn’t really do all that much. It’s not like I would try to claim the idea either.
I’m going to re-upload a pack of all eight, when they’re done. How about a couple more forms, maybe a climber or a swimmer?
Peter J People might also be interested in knowing where this came from and how to get a copy. Especially if they get this through a GM at a con (read: me!) and are later curious why it doesn’t match the ones in the book… and “where the hell do I get one of these awesome simple playbooks??”
You already have a second column on the back page about Dungeon World… maybe trying to add a line of “Dungeon World by; Simple Playbook modifications by ” Maybe a website, or if you don’t have one a hint to Gauntlet community or wherever they’d need to go to find this, etc.
What Tomer Gurantz said.
Also, you’re selling yourself short. There’s some real design that went into these, and some pretty solid insights! Just because it’s a small iteration on something doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking credit for it.
