I released a new version of my Dungeon World Tools! It’s not a huge update from an end user perspective. The most noticeable change is what used to be a random monster “generator” now is an easy-to-use monster finder, including all stats and text from the DW SRD.
If you get some use out of it, have any suggestions, or what-have-you, let me know!
It is also more mobile friendly, though more could be done there.
One thing I wanted to add to my own DW tool is the ability to “pin” things. So I could look up a monster or an item and add it to a pin board. Then I’d have a list of things I’ve generated / looked up, and I wouldn’t have to worry about going to a different part of the tool as my recent look-ups have been saved to the board.
Yours looks a bit more suited to that task as you already have buttons for each monster entry.
I appreciate it might be a pain to add – but it would be super handy.
That is a great idea! I have been considering just using local storage for things like that, which would basically mean I could avoid needing people to create user accounts, but the data would be pretty temporary. Would that be useful enough – something that might need setup each session – or would something more permanent be necessary to make it worth it for you?
local storage works fine – I already store the whole SRD in local storage for my own tool so I don’t have to talk to the server after loading the page.
Aaron Steed Nice! BTW, I dig your tool. I have it saved in the folder of bookmarks I open before every session. 🙂
Miles Sterrett wow, great resource. I love the move finder. I have added your site to my big list of DW resources: http://dieheart.net/useful-stuff/dw-resources/#dw-misc-resources
Oh, cool! Thanks, Sophia Brandt! That’s an awesome set of resources.
