Tenfootpole.org has an interesting list of the best new “old school adventures”.
What is your current “new old school favorite”?
I have very fond childhood memories of the Holmes D&D Blue Book Zenopus Tower dungeon, Barrier Peaks (starship D&D)and in Search of the Unknown.
Despite having been playing during the old-school days, I didn’t get to play many of the classics. I’d love to run through Barrier Peaks and Isle of Dread. Ooo, and Ravenloft.
My fav would have to be Keep On The Borderlands, purely for nostalgia. Played the heck out of that module.
I loved U1: The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh. The first half is very Scooby Doo, and the second half very different 🙂
Someone’s even done a Dungeon World version of it, which is sweet: https://rpggeek.com/rpgitem/135344/haunting-highcliffe
Barrier Peaks – great idea, the actual module needs some tweakng.
Straight up play? Against the Giants into Descent unto the depths =Underdark ending vs Lolth.
Also liked Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan.
Finally, have played fairly recently was White Plume Mountain.
Chris Shorb True about Barrier, but I still love it warts and all. And you have to love the Underdark.
